Surviving the death or loss of a loved one poses one of life’s most challenging situations. It is a uniquely personal and emotional journey many would rather not take. Yet when embarked upon consciously, intense growth and remarkable personal transformation are possible.
Having lived through the death of someone very close to me, I know how overwhelmingly sad and seemingly endless the process of grieving can be. Once I found emotional support and had effective coping skills in place, processing the loss raised my awareness and took my life in a new direction.
I developed Conscious Grieving® to be of service to people of all ages in grief and to those supporting people in grief. Through individual consultations, group sessions, workshops, retreats and educational materials, we offer confidential compassionate grieving support, letting go rituals, opportunities for creative expression, appropriate coping skills and grief specific yoga sequences. Support will be provided, while honoring the loss of a loved one.
Conscious Grieving® consultations include offering workshops at The Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles and numerous Yoga Works studios throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and New York. Additionally I work with individuals and groups privately, offer grief and yoga weekend retreats and bring yoga to the Gifts of Grief workshops at Esalen. Previously I volunteered at Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for youth; provided research on the topic of Grief, Youth and Prevention and spoke on a national webinar: Grief and Loss: A Sensitive Approach to Youth Prevention.
People in grief need good friends. Pass this along to someone you think might benefit from this work.
